Ghana's under-20 World Cup winning coach Sellas Tetteh is in line to take charge of the Rwanda national team.
Tetteh is currently in Kigali having talks with the football authorities.
The permanent secretary in the Ministry of Sport, Mr Jean Pierre Karabaranga is confident that an agreement will be in place by Thursday.
"He knows Rwandan football and he likes the country, so we'd be happy to get him to train our team," he told BBC Sport.
Rwanda have been without a coach since November when Croatian coach Branko Tucak was sacked after the Amavubi failed to qualify for either the Africa Cup of Nations or the World Cup.
